Older drivers in the Cass City area have an opportunity to refresh their driving skills and boost their confidence behind the wheel with the upcoming AARP Smart Driver Course, the nation’s largest driver safety course designed especially for drivers aged 50 and older.
The course will be held on Wednesday, June 4, and Thursday, June 5 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Beechwood Conference Center, 6086 Beechwood Dr., Cass City. This is an 8-hour course split over two sessions, and participants must attend both to receive a certificate of completion.
Taught in a classroom setting, the AARP Smart Driver Course offers valuable insights including:
- Research-based safety strategies to reduce crash risks
- How to manage age-related changes and health factors affecting driving
- Updates on new vehicle technologies and driving laws
- Tips on minimizing distractions and evaluating driving fitness
- No exams or tests—just practical, helpful information
Upon completion of the course, participants may be eligible for an auto insurance discount. Interested individuals are encouraged to consult with their insurance agent for details.
