When a loved one begins to show signs of dementia, knowing how to start the conversation can be one of the hardest steps. The Alzheimer’s Association® invites the community to attend Dementia Conversations, a free education program designed to help families talk openly and compassionately about some of the most common — and difficult — topics related to dementia.
The program will be held on Thursday, May 22, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at The Heartlands, 6305 Bluewater Ct, Marlette, MI 48453.
Dementia Conversations provides practical tips on how to approach sensitive subjects, including:
- Going to the doctor
- Deciding when to stop driving
- Making legal and financial plans
Whether you’re just beginning to notice changes or are already navigating life with a dementia diagnosis in your family, this program offers helpful guidance and support in a judgment-free setting.
Registration is required. To reserve your spot, call the Alzheimer’s Association’s 24/7 Helpline at 800-272-3900.
