Your step between hospital and home.
Aspire Rural Health System’s Swing Bed Program at Deckerville Community Hospital, Hills & Dales General Hospital, and Marlette Regional Hospital is a federally approved program enabling small, rural hospitals to provide 24-hour skilled nursing care. The Swing Bed Program allows for patients to transition or “swing” from an acute level of care to a skilled nursing or rehabilitation level of care. This stay at the hospital allows for additional healing time before returning to everyday life.
Our team is dedicated to working to regain your strength, functionality, balance, and range of motion so you are able to care for yourself with confidence.
A Swing Bed stay is considered short-term care. Stays can vary in length and is individual to each patient. Some Swing Bed residents may stay with us for just a few days and some may stay for multiple weeks. Although the average Swing Bed stay is just 1-to-2 weeks, each resident’s stay is dependent on their goals and how quickly they meet those goals. Our goal is to ensure residents feel comfortable and confident when returning home from our Swing Bed Program.
