Annual Hunting for Health Event Raises $13,000 for PCUPS

March 25, 2025

Aspire Rural Health System is thrilled to announce the success of its first annual Hunting for Health event, held this past weekend. The event brought together outdoor enthusiasts of all ages to support men’s health awareness and raise critical funds for the PCUPS Fund at Aspire.

This event not only celebrated the camaraderie of hunting but also emphasized the importance of proactive healthcare for men. Families, including fathers and sons and even sisters whose father had been diagnosed with prostate cancer, came together for a meaningful and memorable experience. The overwhelming support and enthusiasm from the community have solidified Hunting for Health as an annual tradition.

Aspire Rural Health System extends its heartfelt gratitude to our generous sponsors, whose support made this event possible and helped us make a meaningful impact on men’s health. A total of 97 hunters participated throughout the weekend, raising $13,000 for the PCUPS Fund, which supports prostate cancer screening and care. The event saw multi-generational involvement, strengthening family connections while promoting health awareness. It provided a unique approach to engaging the community in discussions about men’s health.

The impact of this event extends beyond the weekend, as Aspire Rural Health System is excited to announce the upcoming re-launch of the PCUPS program. This initiative will provide prostate cancer screenings and support services for local men, furthering Aspire’s commitment to rural healthcare accessibility.
