Alzheimer’s Association to Host Educational Program at The Heartlands

March 7, 2025

The Alzheimer’s Association® is offering an educational program, Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia, to help individuals and families gain a deeper understanding of Alzheimer’s disease. The event will take place on Tuesday, March 18, from 6 to 7 p.m. at The Heartlands, located at 6305 Bluewater Ct, Marlette, MI.

Alzheimer’s is not a normal part of aging—it is a progressive disease that affects the brain, leading to memory loss, cognitive decline, and behavioral changes. This program will cover:

  • The impact of Alzheimer’s disease
  • The differences between Alzheimer’s and dementia
  • Stages and risk factors of Alzheimer’s
  • Current research and available treatment options
  • Resources offered by the Alzheimer’s Association

This free session is open to anyone looking to learn more about the disease, whether for personal knowledge, caregiving, or community awareness.

To register, call 800.272.3900 or email helplinegmc@alz.org. Additional educational programs can be found at alz.org/CRF.
